“Fair Enough” “Load Of Nonsense” – These Leeds Fans Remain Mixed As Former Player Talks Departure

|

The Leeds United fanbase were certainly split when it came to opinions on former Number 1 Bailey Peacock-Farrell, as he was probably over criticised for his errors prior to the arrival of Kiko Casilla, but equally Casilla’s rushes of blood, left plenty feeling BPF should get another shot between the sticks given his continued development potential.

The transfer over the summer out to Premier League side Burnley certainly raised a few eyebrows, and plenty in the fanbase simply believe the move was about money, as if he’d stayed he’d have presumably sat on our bench, whereas he’s still waiting for his debut at Turf Moor.

Following a recent interview with the Yorkshire Evening Post, BPF discussed his move and the changing challenge he now faces, and fans continued to be split on his motivations.

For me, I can’t blame him. He’s young, an international and he’ll back himself to seize his chance when it arrives so if he gets paid more for similar game time in effect, who wouldn’t take that in their day job?

Undoubtedly his earlier interviews over the summer did sour things for many fans though.
